Macro (Coarse) Calcifications

I am a two time breast cancer survivor--resulting in a mastectomy. My recent mammogram of the remaining breast shows coarse calcifications that have increased in number and size. My Oncologist says Coarse or Macro calcifications are rarely cancerous. However, my surgeon recommends stereotactic biopsy--based on my past breast cancer occurences.

Does anyone have any experiece with Coarse calcifications and cancer? Thank you
